Compass Will Writers based in Gorseinon have been commended for their work in making a positive impact on the lives of older people living in the Swansea Area and helping to create an age-friendly Wales. Age Cymru, the national charity for older people in Wales in its annual awards, commended Compass Will Writers in the Small Business category.
Compass have been advising clients for the last 15 years on the issues associated with later life such as; Lasting Powers of Attorney, Wills, Care fees advice, Probate, Wills and Trusts.
Commenting, Alyson Dyer said, “We are honoured to have been recognised by Age Cymru for the work we undertake on behalf of our clients. As a company we also support several other charities including The Pituitary Foundation for which we provide a national Will writing service”
Alyson is an Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Champion and regularly runs awareness sessions, helping individuals to gain an insight into what it is like to live with dementia. This is part of a larger project that we have been involved with for several years i.e. working toward making Swansea a Dementia Friendly city.
Supporting the community through activities is a key aspect of the work that Compass does. An upcoming example is the support of the Alzheimer’s Society “cupcake day.” On Thursday 15th June we will be holding a cupcake sale at our offices at 77 High Street, Gorseinon. Why not come along and help to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society?
