Early Bird

I’ve always loved this time of year. The early summer waves still have a bit of winter power left in them but without the stormy winds and weather, meaning epic conditions for surfing. The sea temp is on the up, so you can shed some of the rubber that’s encased you for the last six months. The daylight hours are getting so long now it allows for sneaking in those before and after work surf sessions that would have been shrouded in darkness only a few short months ago.

So, if you’re a real early bird, with first light arriving a little before 5am you can be suited, booted and hitting the line-up for a classic dawn session and still be home in time for breakfast.
