With the huge disruption to children’s education this year and continued weeks of learning at home, now might be the time to consider investing in your child’s potential with a private tutor.
At the Learning Curve, Mumbles, we provide pupils with individual learning plans that will build confidence and success, taking them from wherever they are now and place them on a pathway to be increasingly successful learners. Working with qualified teachers in our bright, and well-resourced centre, your child will receive tuition which:
- Plugs gaps in prior learning
- Reinforces learning in school
- Extends and challenges
- Aligns with primary and secondary schools’ curriculum
Our team of tutors are qualified and experienced teachers with a wealth of teaching and tutoring experience across primary and secondary education, including specialists such as Kayley, a dynamic secondary English teacher with a wealth of experience in teaching, tutoring and exam moderating. Kayley tutors our GCSE and A’ level English students.
Emlyn, who was previously Head of Maths at a suc-cessful secondary school. Emlyn tutors our Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level Maths students. Centre manager, Debs, has taught in England and in Wales across whole class environments and with More Able and Talented (MAT) pupil groups. She is an experienced tutor across primary and secondary levels and she is always available for a chat and to offer advice about your child’s progression.
In our well-equipped centre we work with learners from years 1 and 2 in our ‘Little Learners’ room, right the way through primary and secondary up to GCSE – with an option for A-Level Maths or English if required. Whether you are looking for additional support for a child who is struggling; encouragement for a child who needs a boost of confidence; help for a child who needs stretching and challenging; or support with up-coming exams, the Learning Curve is perfectly placed to support your child.
