All about the pink!

Wine recomendations with Antoinette Milne

It’s July and the outdoors is THE place to be. Although we happily drink rose wine throughout the year, summer is when it arguably takes centre stage. We’ve got an exciting Welsh Rose Petal Gin to start, a Rose to go for all those outdoor events, a fabulously refreshing Prosecco Rose and a #cool and very #pink wine called #LOU. It’s all things pink this month. Enjoy the vibe!

CHEERS WINE MERCHANTS

70cl BRECON ROSE PETAL GIN £26.95

An exciting addition to the range. Rose petal and strawberries are married with tart fresh raspberries and juniper. Hints of liquorice and angelica root swirl and spicy cinnamon and coriander aromas blend with refreshing citrus fruits. Best served with ice and chilled tonic water. Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit and fresh mint leaves. A new kind of pink gin with a twist!

ND JOHN WINE MERCHANTS

25cl MIRABEAU PRET-A-PORTER ROSE 2020 (Can) £3.45

(South of France)

Prêt-à-Porter rose wine in a can is a convenient way to enjoy your favourite rosé. Ideal for picnics, beach trips, festivals and other places where glass may not be ideal. A blend of Grenache and Syrah giving fresh floral (rose), and generous strawberry and berry fruit. It has a delicate pink colour and a crisp, refreshing acidity. Pairs well with lightly spiced Asian street food, salmon salad and barbecued prawns. Rose to go!
